Position
- Due to the company’s growth, they have a need for a senior-level process engineer
- The main focus of the role is to scale up chemical production from a pilot plant setting to commercial scale
- This engineer will be the primary liaison between operations and R&D
- This engineer will design process workflows and interface with a variety of engineering and operations consultants
- Providing best-in-class technical support to customers and prospective customers is also a primary focus of this role
- This role requires periodic overnight travel between the firm’s various manufacturing sites
- This role is based in the Lower Fraser Valley near Vancouver, BC
Qualifications
- At least five years of process engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- While water treatment experience is most desirable, this firm is also interested in speaking with engineers with surfactant or polymers experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is highly desired but the firm is willing to consider candidates with other technical degrees
- A Professional Engineering license is highly desired but not required
- Company values self-motivated individuals who have strong written and verbal communication skills
