Position
- This firm is looking for an experienced sales manager to manage the company’s sales group
- This person is responsible for the development, execution and management of the company’s sales strategies
- This person’s group will be responsible for the marketing and sale of chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the northeast US
- Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for account managers, both short and long-term
- Manages and owns the overall commercial relationship with key customers and is the “face” of the firm to them
- The position requires about 25% overnight (regional) travel
Qualifications
- Six or more years of chemical distribution sales experience is required
- Prior sales management experience in the chemical sales space is required
- A four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred (chemical engineering or chemistry degrees are highly preferred)
- The company greatly values intellectual curiosity
- Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
