Position

  • This firm is looking for an experienced sales manager to manage the company’s sales group
  • This person is responsible for the development, execution and management of the company’s sales strategies
  • This person’s group will be responsible for the marketing and sale of chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the northeast US
  • Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for account managers, both short and long-term
  • Manages and owns the overall commercial relationship with key customers and is the “face” of the firm to them
  • The position requires about 25% overnight (regional) travel

Qualifications

  • Six or more years of chemical distribution sales experience is required
  • Prior sales management experience in the chemical sales space is required
  • A four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred (chemical engineering or chemistry degrees are highly preferred)
  • The company greatly values intellectual curiosity
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
