- Privately owned national specialty chemical distribution firm that specializes serving a variety of customers in the CASE, industrial, personal care, food and pharmaceutical industries
- They’ve been in business for over 40 years and have more than fifteen North American warehouses and distribution centers
- They have expanded tremendously in the last few years and have bought several well-established and profitable distributors over that time
- The owners are committed to growing the company for many years to come
Position
- Due to the aforementioned inorganic and organic growth of the firm, they are in need of a Sales & Business Director in the Northeast US
- This person will manage a team of experienced sales professionals responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the personal care industry
- This person plays a key role in supplier management and strategy
- Manages and owns the overall account relationship to several leveraging customers and is the “face” of the firm to the customer
- Position is home-office based and the successful candidate will preferably be located in New Jersey or New York City
- Overnight travel up to 40% is required
Qualifications
- Ten or more years chemical sales experience is highly desired and specialty chemical distribution experience is highly preferred
- Four year degree is required and a technical degree is preferred
- Company greatly values intellectual curiosity
- Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
