  • They’ve been in business for decades and have grown tremendously over the last few years
  • They have a very strong presence coast to coast and internationally as well

Position

  • Due to the aforementioned growth of the firm, they are in need of an experienced technical account manager to develop, grow and maintain business in the continental United States
  • This person will be calling on a variety of personnel, including upper-level decision-makers at multinational firms
  • This person will be responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts
  • Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for customers, both short and long-term
  • Manages and owns the overall account relationship to customers and is the “face” of the firm to the customer
  • The successful candidate will be required to work in the firm’s office near Louisville Kentucky three days a week when not on travel
  • About 40% overnight travel is required

Qualifications

  • Four or more years of specialty chemical sales experience is required
  • A four-year bachelor’s degree is required (chemical engineering or chemistry degrees are highly preferred)
  • Company greatly values intellectual curiosity
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
