Position
- Due to the aforementioned growth of the firm, they need an experienced international trade compliance specialist to ensure the firm complies with regulations for importing product from the Asia Pacific region
- This person will have a key role in the operations of the firm and will report directly to their VP of Operations
- This person will directly supervise another compliance professional
- This person will have a ‘dotted line’ responsibility to a senior manager of regulatory affairs
- The position is home-office based two days a week and office-based for three days a week
Qualifications
- Four or more years of international trade compliance experience is required
- A four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Experience with exports of liquid chemicals from Asia is highly, highly desired
- Experience with EPA TSCA regulations and INCOTERMS is a must
- Experience with DOT, HAZMAT and other import/export controls is important as well
- The company greatly values intellectual curiosity
- Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
