Position

  • Due to the firm’s growth, they need an experienced technical account manager to develop, grow, and maintain business in the continental United States
  • This person will be calling on a variety of personnel, including upper-level decision-makers at multinational firms
  • This person will be responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the building products and construction industry
  • Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for customers, both short and long-term
  • Manages and owns the overall account relationship with customers and is the “face” of the firm to the customer
  • Because this is a very strategic role, this person must have a regular presence in their Toledo-area headquarters
  • About 25% of overnight travel is required

Qualifications

  • Four or more years of specialty chemical sales experience is required, preferably in the coatings or adhesives market
  • A four-year bachelor’s degree is required (business, marketing, chemical engineering, and chemistry degrees are most preferred)
  • The company greatly values intellectual curiosity and high-energy
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
